Who We Are

Our Beginning

Moonbow was born from a desire for children to be seen, valued, and truly known. Founder Sarah Hydrick began not as an administrator, but as a parent searching for something more: a place where her own children could grow in beauty and belonging, surrounded by teachers and families who honored childhood as something sacred.

In a world that often asks children to do too much, too soon, Moonbow stands as a gentle reminder that when children are given time, rhythm, and love, learning unfolds naturally — and beautifully.

Our Philosophy

From that vision came a gentle, home-like environment where wonder, rhythm, and connection to nature guide each day. Rooted in Waldorf, Montessori, and Reggio Emilia philosophies, Moonbow nurtures the whole child through storytelling, movement, art, and time in nature — engaging the head, heart, and hands in harmony.

Our Environment

Every detail of the environment is intentional. Classrooms and outdoor spaces are designed to bring warmth, beauty, and calm — free from harsh colors or rigid routines, and filled instead with natural materials, soft light, and opportunities for discovery.

Our Community

As the community grew, so did the dream. What began as a small circle of families soon became a vibrant gathering of parents and educators united in protecting the wonder of early childhood.

The Woodlands at Moonbow, our enrichment program for ages 5–10, grew from this same foundation — allowing older children to continue their journey of curiosity, creativity, and connection in a nature-rich setting.

Meet Our Teachers

Our teachers are the heart of Moonbow. Each brings warmth, creativity, and experience to the classroom. Together, they foster a learning environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and belonging.
