What We Believe

Every child deserves to be safe, comforted, engaged and free to learn and play. The current and future demands on our children require us to rethink their care, beginning at the beginning. Research, experience, and common sense confirm that a whole child approach to care allows for core growth, emotional stability, and an organic strengthening of confidence. At Moonbow, we focus on work and play that strengthens the head, heart and hands of the children in our care.

We want your child to have the very best chance at being their very best self and pledge to honor your child, your family and our community in all that we do.

Meet the Staff

Sarah Hydrick, Founder

Sarah Hydrick is originally from Alabama. She grew up in a small town in the country and spent her younger years exploring the “woods” and making mud pies. Deep family roots and a small community life gave her the confidence to go… first to The University of Alabama (Roll Tide!), then on to an accelerated career path that took her from Michigan to Tennessee to Florida.

After a decade of corporate finance experience, Sarah stepped down to shift focus and time into her growing family. During this transition, she found a homeschool path that led her to Lifeways and Waldorf-inspired education. The methods were familiar and life-giving, and she knew it was something she wanted to share with others. The dream of a small community, rooted in stability and nurturing arts was born…

Sarah lives in Nocatee with her college sweetheart (and husband), Aaron, and three beautiful daughters. She serves as Treasurer and Finance Chair for the Board of Directors for The Playgarden and Spring River School and is committed to bringing nature-based play to the Nocatee community.
